Description
Living fire cult. Enji is a disputed Thursday name; the ethnography lives under zjarr/vatër speech, not under a named god Enji. Three interlocking faces: (1) hearth fire — eternal domestic flame, lineage continuity, oaths për këtë zjarr, ancestor food cast into embers (pair nena_e_vatres / vitore); (2) calendar hinge-fires — straw/juniper/byk fires at Buzmi, Dita e Verës, Shëngjergji, Shën Gjin and kin that strengthen Dielli and return ash force to soil (Tirta ≈ 70, 276–288; Zojzi via Tirta on Shën Gjin byk fires); (3) living fire / zjarr i gjallë / zjarr i egër / zjarr i keq — friction-kindled purifying fire for livestock smoke-purification (tymosje) in spring and illness (Dibër Tërnovë tradition; Korçë zjarr i egër; Kolonjë — Tirta ≈ 279–281). Not a Zeus/Agni/Jupiter clone; not identical to the Enji name; sky-fire/lightning attribute soft-links zojz/shurdh without merging them.

Ash keeps a bed under the pot. No one spits toward the vatër. Someone swears by this fire the way another swears by bread. Before a feast dawn, straw smoke stands on a yard ridge — heat lent to the sun. In another season men still know how to wake a colder fire: two dry woods rubbed until spark takes eshkë, then smoke driven under the herd. The name Enji may sleep inside Thursday; the house and the year live by zjarr.
