Dhrim (unlucky day-cluster)
Dhrim / Dhrimëra
March (and August) unlucky day-cluster; vines and washing taboo; weather omens.
Description
Unlucky day-cluster. Elsie s.v. Dhrim: first three + last three days of March (Hahn also 1–3 & 15–17) bad for vines/washing; also first 5–6 or 12 days of August (= djegagur) fixing next year’s monthly weather. Greek tradition personifies Drimes as demons harming wood/water — a neighboring contact, not the core of the Albanian entry. Distinct from Ditët e Plakës.
